    Very good

Convenience to Gatwick and London. Very comfortable.

The staff were excellent but the Hotel lets itself down and especially the staff, by kitting the staff out in very poor clothing.

The venue was beautiful, the facilities were super and the staff were really excellent....the attention to detail was second to none...I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. Joanne Keane (Dublin)

    Fabulous

A characterful building with comfortable rooms and good amenities. We just needed a base for a few days for visiting a few local places and the hotel amply met those requirements. Breakfast choice and food was excellent and hard to imagine you could find better anywhere.

First room we were given was noisy at night as it was above the staff entrance to the bar and staff moved metal barrels about at midnight. However, when we mentioned this in the morning we received an immediate apology and were moved to a quieter room straight away. So no complaints!

    Very good

The service was very good and our room was comfortable. Lovely surroundings and we had a pleasant stay.

Dissapointed that the Oak Room was closed on Saturday night, we had to have dinner in the brasserie. I was not told at the time of booking about this.

    Superb

Bathroom extremely good, bed very comfortable. View from window tranquil.

Not much space between end of bed and chair/desk likewise table to eat breakfast rather cramped.

Drafty, single glazed windows allowing too much noise from the near by M25

    Exclusive

Although the location is close to the m25, we never noticed the hum of the traffic. We lived the Great Hall and would love to revisit in winter when the huge fire would be lit. We were made to feel at home and nothing was too much to ask of the staff. The cleanliness of the hotel's bedrooms and bathrooms was impressive. The breakfasts were good.

The evening meal we had in the smart restaurant The Oak dining room) left much to be desired. The prices were not reflected in the quality of the food. The portions were parsimonious.

    Very good

The setting and building was very nice and the staff were very pleasant. We arrived really late and left at 11am the next day so didn't experience the full woodlands experience as we would have liked.

The breakfast! Calling it the 'woodlands special' was a statement too far. We went down to breakfast at 10 am. And several items on the breakfast plate had obviously been sat on a hot plate for some time and we left it on our plates. Should have sent it back but we needed to leave for our next destination and couldn't wait any longer to have it cooked again. Not that they seemed concerned that the food had been left. Would like to stay there again but not for the breakfast.

    Fabulous

Close to Epsom, but in the country. Nice Victorian building with great Hall. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable room (no 36) on 2nd floor.

Too close to m25, so noisy.

    Superb

We are regular customers of the hotel due to location. Although on a few occassions the noise below has been very disruptive due to functions. But more annoying our last visit 26/12/2011 the noise was due to staff hoovering & stocking fir with coal. We love the cosy feel of woodlands & staff are alwys vrey helpful & polite. D Masters

Sorry as above..would recommend woodlands park bot would advise them to book the rooms away from the lounge area which is a shame as they are so cosy.. We were upgraded so even more of a shame. Before we accepted upgrade we did confirm there were no functions but did not think of the cleaning..

    Very good

Setting is very beautiful, staff friendly, helpful and courteous, good breakfast, good bedlinen and room well thought through.

When we arrived at 5.30pm there was a party in the foyer and a lot of used glasses, we couldn't hear ourselves speak to reception. When we returned at around 11pm there were some of the same people, still drinking, even more dirty glasses, so not a good impression. The hotel claims to be eco friendly, and yet it was overheated. Guests are allowed to smoke just outside the entrance door which is not great. Too many people and too noisy. Why did we pay £14 more than if we'd booked on another website?

    Very good

The decor of the rooms was very good and the overall appearance of the hotel good.

There was no gym. You had to turn off the heating at night because it made so much noise, luckily for me the weather was quite warm In the winter this could be a problem as you would have to either be cold or put up with the central heating noise.
